Brussels, October 27, 2022 (PPI-OT): A protest demonstration was organized by Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU) in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, to mark the Kashmir Black Day, today. A large number of Kashmiris and their sympathizers attended the demonstration held in front of the Indian Embassy in Brussels. Addressing the protesters, the KCEU Chairman, Ali Raza Syed, said 27th October 1947 is the darkest day in Kashmir’s history as on this day India in total violation of all international norms and human values illegally landed its troops in Srinagar and occupied Jammu and Kashmir against the will of the Kashmiri people. He urged New Delhi to end its occupation of Kashmir and give the Kashmiris their right to self-determination.
He said, it is sad that India claims to be the largest democracy in the world but it is suppressing the rights of Kashmiris and killing innocent people in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. “Our brothers and sisters in occupied Kashmir have been victims of Indian persecution for the past seven decades. On a daily basis, Indian state institutions are trying to crush the Kashmiris,” he deplored. Ali Raza Syed said, peace in the region is linked to the settlement of the Kashmir dispute. He urged the international community to the people of Jammu and Kashmir in securing their right to self-determination.
