KCEU Chairman says Indian cluster shells pose threat to civilians’ life in AJK

Mirpur, October 22, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chairman of Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU) Ali Raza Syed has said that cluster shells fired by the Indian troops on the remote areas of Azad Jammu Kashmir along the Line of Control posed serious threat to the civilian population of these areas. Ali Raza Syed said this while talking to journalists in Mirpur after visiting the recently affected areas of LoC along with a foreign delegation.

The KCEU Chairman pointed out that the Indian troops use cluster bombs to target the civilian population in AJK from across the Line of Control in violation of the international law including the Geneva Convention. He said, recently two Kashmiri children who were visiting their relatives near the LoC found cluster shells and took them as toys to their home. Later, both the children died when the shells exploded.
