Islamabad, The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, H.E Yerzhan Kistafin, met with Caretaker Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Jamal Shah to discuss enhancing cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Pakistan.
According to Press Information Department, the meeting at the National Heritage and Culture Division in Islamabad focused on various areas of cooperation, particularly on boosting cultural exchange and people-to-people contact. The discussions emphasized collaboration in art, culture, heritage, film, and cinema to foster a deeper understanding between the people of both countries.
Minister Jamal Shah expressed Pakistan’s high regard for its relationship with Kazakhstan, highlighting the shared vision of regional cooperation. He acknowledged the existing friendly and brotherly relations, emphasizing the potential for further enhancement. Shah noted the rich cultural heritage and beautiful landscapes of the region and proposed collaboration in the film industry to strengthen bilateral cultural relations.
The minister announced the second phase of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) cultural caravan, which aims to showcase the region’s rich cultural heritage. This initiative will invite artists from Central Asian States, including Kazakhstan, to participate, thereby promoting regional and cultural connectivity.
Ambassador Kistafin appreciated the Minister’s warm reception and expressed Kazakhstan’s commitment to future collaboration in diverse sectors, including cultural exchanges, art, cultural heritage, museums, and film. He emphasized the significant potential for uplifting cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan and announced an upcoming film screening by Kazakhstan at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA).
