Kashmir’s Christian Community Praises Agha Syed Hassan Al Moosvi for Interfaith Dialogue Initiatives


Srinagar, The Christian community in Kashmir has publicly commended Agha Syed Hassan Al Moosvi Al Safvi, a senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), for his significant contributions to fostering interfaith dialogue and promoting religious freedom in the region, amid ongoing communal tensions.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the recognition came during a meeting where Dr. Pastor Philips and Pastor Paul from the Christian delegation expressed their appreciation for Moosvi’s dedication to interfaith unity. They highlighted his role in combating hatred and bigotry, and his efforts to maintain communal harmony across diverse religious groups in Kashmir.



Agha Syed Hassan Moosvi, in response, thanked the Christian community for their acknowledgment and reiterated the importance of dialogue in the social and political activities of Anjuman. He stressed the organization’s historical commitment to brotherhood among Shias and Sunnis and maintaining good relations with other religious communities including Kashmiri Pandits, Sikhs, and Christians. Moosvi vowed to uphold the region’s legacy of peaceful coexistence and continue the work of his predecessors in protecting property rights, upholding neighborhood rights, and resolving family conflicts.
