Islamabad, April 23, 2022 (PPI-OT):Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan has said that the Kashmiri people will observe Black Day on April 24 on the occasion of the Indian Prime Minister’s visit to Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Saturday said that protests and rallies against Indian military occupation will be held in Azad Kashmir tomorrow. He said Modi cannot deceive the world by visiting IIOJK under the siege of 800,000 Indian troops. The United Nations, he added, should play its important role in resolving the Kashmir dispute according to its own resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The AJK Prime Minister said India is dreaming of a united India and promoting Hindutva, which threatens peace in South Asia. No mega project can be a substitute for Kashmiris’ freedom from India, he added. The APHC-AJK Convener, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani addressing on the occasion said the Modi-led fascist Indian government wants to turn the majority of the Kashmiris into a minority.
He lamented that the Indian troops in the occupied territory were committing genocide of the Kashmiris through fake military encounters and the international community should take notice of it. He said under the draconian Public Safety Act (PSA). Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders have been languishing in different jails of India and the territory
He also drew the attention of the world to the dire situation of the occupied territory and said Kashmiris do not want to live with India want right to self-determination. He appreciated the steps taken by the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas which helped in highlighting the Kashmir dispute.
Besides, APHC-AJK Convener Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Members of Legislative Assembly Khawaja Farooq Ahmed, Majid Khan, Dewan Ali Chughtai, Chaudhry Akbar Ibrahim, Chaudhry Muhammad Rashid, Akmal Sargala, Javed Butt, and Director General of Cultural Academy Dr Irfan Ashraf and senior leaders of PTI were also present on the occasion.
