Srinagar, The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir has paid tribute to Sofi Muhammad Akbar, a prominent liberation leader and a founding member of the Jammu and Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi, on his 36th death anniversary.
According to Kashmir Media Service,, Sofi Muhammad Akbar passed away on this day in 1987. In a statement released in Srinagar, an APHC spokesperson hailed Sofi Akbar as a selfless leader who remained steadfast in his commitment to the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination, as promised by the United Nations.
The spokesperson reaffirmed the Kashmiris’ determination to continue the mission of Sofi Akbar with vigor and valor until its logical conclusion is reached. Sofi Akbar’s legacy continues to inspire the ongoing struggle for freedom and self-determination in Jammu and Kashmir.
