Srinagar, Political experts and analysts in Srinagar have emphasized that the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) are engaged in a struggle to exercise their right to self-determination, a right pledged by the United Nations. This struggle is highlighted amid ongoing political tensions in the region.
According to Kashmir Media Service, these experts, in their interviews and statements, pointed out that United Nations resolutions and international law grant the Kashmiri people the right to seek freedom from Indian control. They argued that the ongoing freedom movement in IIOJK, which echoes the sentiments of the local populace, is a legitimate effort and will persist until the implementation of the UN resolutions.
The analysts criticized India’s attempts to label the Kashmiri freedom struggle as terrorism, using false flag operations and propaganda. They asserted that these efforts would not succeed in undermining the Kashmiris’ quest for self-determination. Furthermore, they denounced the Modi government’s violent repression in IIOJK, stating that such actions cannot quell the Kashmiris’ just struggle.
The political experts and analysts called on the global community to support the people of IIOJK in their quest for freedom and self-determination. They expressed a firm belief that the Kashmiri people are resolute in continuing their struggle until it reaches its logical conclusion.
