Springfield, Virginia: A group of Kashmiri representatives gathered in Springfield, Virginia to organize a peaceful demonstration at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The protest is scheduled to coincide with the speech of the Indian delegate at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly on September 28.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the meeting was convened by the World Kashmir Awareness Forum to highlight the human rights issues in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and to protest the Indian government’s policies in the region.
