Kashmir Solidarity Day Photo Exhibition held at the Pakistan High Commission London

Islamabad, February 03, 2022 (PPI-OT):The High Commission for Pakistan, London organized a Photo Exhibition today in connection with the Kashmir Solidarity Day. The event started off the “Kashmir Week” being observed by the High Commission by organizing various events to raise awareness about the plight of the Kashmiri people in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), says a press release received here today from London.

Photos of the Kashmiri victims of Indian atrocities were displayed at the premises of the Mission. The images depicting human rights violations in IIOJK, as documented by credible international organizations and media outlets, highlighted the brutalities of the occupation forces against innocent Kashmiri people.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, High Commissioner Moazzam Ahmad Khan said the Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed each year to not just express solidarity with the people of IIOJK, but also to underscore the growing urgency to end the humanitarian crisis in the valley.

He said just for seeking self-determination, the people of IIOJK were being subjected to the most horrendous violations of fundamental rights by the occupation forces. The High Commissioner expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri victims and paid glowing tributes to their resolve and bravery in their struggle for self-determination.

He said that such events underlined the need to hold India accountable for its crimes against humanity. The High Commissioner reiterated that Pakistan would continue to raise its voice for the voiceless people of Kashmiris at all platforms. A large number of Kashmiri community and British friends of Kashmir visited the exhibition during the day, paid tributes to the Kashmiri victims and expressed solidarity with the besieged Kashmiris.
