Srinagar, The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) commemorated the death anniversary of the prominent leader of the Kashmir freedom movement, Raees-ul-Ahrar Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas, with profound tributes to his legacy.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC leaders in Srinagar, along with their counterparts from the APHC Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter in Islamabad, recognized Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas as a pivotal figure in the struggle for Kashmir’s freedom. They reflected on his lifelong dedication to the cause of accession of Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan and his relentless efforts towards the freedom of Muslims in the subcontinent, particularly Kashmiris, from British and Dogra oppression.
The leaders underscored Abbas’ significant role in the Kashmir freedom movement and his unwavering commitment to this cause until his last breath. They reaffirmed the Kashmiris’ determination to continue the struggle for the right to self-determination to its logical conclusion.
APHC-AJK Convener, Mahmood Ahmed Saghar, and other leaders in Islamabad, including Ghulam Mohammad Safi, Mohammad Farooq Rehmani, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, and Syed Faiz Naqasbandi, echoed similar sentiments. They described Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas as a shining star of Kashmir’s freedom movement and reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to persevere in their quest for self-determination.
