Kashmir Overseas Forum in Riyadh Asserts Peace Contingent on Resolution of Kashmir Dispute

Riyadh: At an event organized by the Kashmir Overseas Forum in Riyadh, significant emphasis was placed on the resolution of the Kashmir conflict as a prerequisite for regional peace. The forum, attended by members of the Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora, called for increased diplomatic efforts to address this longstanding issue.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Sultan Haseeb, Press Attaché of the Pakistan Embassy, stated during the event that peace in the region hinges on fulfilling the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination, as outlined in United Nations resolutions. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people, promising continued moral, political, and diplomatic backing until their aspirations are fully realized.

The forum’s newly elected Chairman, Sardar Muhammad Parvez, proposed the creation of a dedicated Kashmir Desk on the diplomatic front to better articulate the Kashmiri stance to the global community. This initiative is intended to enhance the visibility and impact of their cause internationally.

Other speakers, including Iftikhar Abbasi and Engineer Muhammad Shafiq, underscored the importance of a strong Pakistani economy and effective leadership in addressing and resolving the Kashmir dispute. Their statements reflect a broad consensus on the need for robust support mechanisms and strategic advocacy to bring this issue to the forefront of international dialogues.
