Islamabad, July 05, 2021 (PPI-OT):Thirty percent Pakistanis think Kashmir issue should be resolved through talks with India, according to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan. According to South Asian Wire, a nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the four provinces were asked how did they think the Kashmir dispute should be resolved. In response, 30 percent Pakistanis said through talks with India, 14 percent said through the United Nations, 12 percent said through war, 4 percent said silence was better, 3 percent said Kashmiris should take the first stand, 28 percent said they didn’t know, while 8 percent did not respond, South Asian Wire reported.
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan. The survey was carried out among a sample of 616 men and women in urban and rural areas of all four provinces of the country during April 24 to May 15, 2021. The error margin is estimated to be approximately 2-3 percent at the 95% confidence level. The methodology used for data collection was CATI.
