Mumbai, February 23, 2022 (PPI-OT):As the elections are scheduled across India, a trailer of an upcoming movie Kashmir Files to entice Hindu voters through Hindutva bigotry particularly to justify the abrogation of Article 370 has been recently released.
The film encompasses, the fleeing of Kashmir Valley in 1990 by the Kashmiri Pandits on the instructions of the then Governor of the occupied territory, Jagmohan Malhotra, who launched a massive crackdown to suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle.
The film is directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri who had previously made a “controversial movie” called The Tashkent Files, which basically asked the all-important question, “Who killed Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose”, South Asian Wire reported. In one of the dialogues, Anupam Kher could be heard clearly saying “Azadi is a song of terrorism”.
In the trailer of the film which has renowned actors like Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi, Chinmay Mandlekar, Prakash Belawadi, Puneet Issar, Bhasha Sumbli, Mrinal Kulkarni, Atul Srivastava and Prithviraj Sarnaik, has tried to convey a message to the Indians that the Indian liberal class which is against Narendra Modi is a traitor to the country.
Anupam Kher, a US citizen, is portrayed as a patriotic spirit. And reportedly the arrangements are being made to sell the 32-year-old incident on Election Day in India on March 11, 2022 to entice Hindutva sentiments to achieve the political gains.
