Kashmir dispute shows UN’s incomplete mission of decolonization: Sohail 

Islamabad, October 30, 2021 (PPI-OT):Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood has said that the United Nations’ mission of decolonization was not yet complete as the people of Jammu and Kashmir still awaited the exercise of their inalienable right to self-determination as promised to them by the resolutions of the UN Security Council.

The foreign secretary, addressing as a chief guest at an event to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations here, reaffirmed Pakistan’s abiding commitment to multilateralism, with the UN playing a central role for promoting peace, security, development and human rights for all.

The event was organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator. A video message of the UN Secretary General was featured at the event.
