Kashmir dispute needs political, peaceful settlement: Javaid Mir

Srinagar, September 17, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leader, Javaid Ahmad Mir, has said that Kashmir is long-pending dispute that needs to be settled through peaceful political means. Javaid Ahmad Mir addressing various condolence meetings in Srinagar said, the world knows that the unresolved Kashmir dispute has become a flashpoint in South Asia and its amicable resolution is imperative for ensuring permanent peace in the region.

Javaid Mir said that India and Pakistan had fought wars on Kashmir, adding that the wars brought destruction; therefore, the people of Kashmir had always called for peaceful solution of the dispute and welcomed meaningful and result-oriented dialogue for its settlement. He said that it is high time for the world community to come forward in a big ways and play role in the resolution of the lingering Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions and Kashmiris’ aspirations.
