Islamabad: Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, the Chairman of the Special Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir and a Member of the National Assembly, has been granted the status of a Federal Minister. The Cabinet Secretariat has issued a formal notification, which has been received by the National Assembly Secretariat, to confirm the elevation.

As Chairman of the Kashmir Committee, Noon has consistently advocated for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination. The conferral of Federal Minister status is seen as a recognition of his significant contributions to the Kashmir cause.

The National Assembly Secretariat is currently processing the necessary formal procedures related to this change. This development is expected to enhance parliamentary efforts on the Kashmir issue, which remains a critical international concern.
