Kashmir Campaign Global Founder Calls on UN to Enforce Resolutions on Kashmir

London: Nazir Ahmed Qureshi, the patron of Kashmir Campaign Global and founder of World Kashmir Freedom Movement, has passionately advocated for the enforcement of United Nations Security Council resolutions regarding Kashmir, describing the ongoing conflict and Indian occupation since October 27, 1947, as a significant historical injustice.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Qureshi issued a statement from London marking the date as the “blackest day” in human history, accusing Indian forces of initiating a prolonged period of terror and illegal control over Jammu and Kashmir. He criticized India for its actions, which he claims violate the agreed principles set during the Partition of the Subcontinent and ignore the expressed will of the Kashmiri people.

Qureshi highlighted the persistent resilience of the Kashmiris in their struggle for self-determination and international recognition. He also emphasized the broader implications of the Kashmir issue, noting its potential to escalate into a major regional and global conflict given the nuclear capabilities of India and Pakistan.

The activist urged the United Nations to take active steps to resolve the situation, advocating for the right of the Kashmiri people to determine their future freely. Qureshi’s call aligns with global Kashmiri protests against Indian occupation, signaling a continued push for international intervention until Kashmir achieves full liberation.
