Lahore, October 27, 2021 (PPI-OT):Freedom for All (Media House and Research Cell) in collaboration with Newz and Blues and Kashmir Society, Government College University (GCU), Lahore, organised an event, today, to mark 27 October as Kashmir Black Day. Governor Punjab, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, was chief guest of the event, which was attended by Provincial Minister Akhtar Malik and parliamentarians, representatives of media groups, civil society and a large number of students.
Governor Punjab, Mushaal Malick (video msg), Salman Ghani (Group Editor, Duniya Media Group) and Rameesh Singh Arora (MPA) highlighted the illegal invasion of Indian armed forces in Jammu and Kashmir on 27 October 1947. They also spoke about the miseries and sacrifices of the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
On the occasion, the book titled “The Power Curse: Lebensraum and Race Pride in 21st Century” written by Professor Dr Uzma Shujjat of Karachi University was also launched Students from various colleges of Lahore participated in speech and singing competitions. Governor Punjab distributed cash prizes and certificates amongst the students who got positions in the competitions.
