Kashmir Black Day Commemorated in Dubai, Highlighting Ongoing Struggle

Dubai: The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai marked Kashmir Black Day, reflecting on the enduring struggle of the people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The event brought together members of the Kashmiri and Pakistani communities in the region, emphasizing solidarity with the people of IIOJK.

The day, observed on October 27, commemorates the entry of Indian troops into Jammu and Kashmir in 1947, an event viewed as an illegal occupation by many. This annual observance serves as a reminder of the Kashmiri people’s quest for self-determination as outlined in United Nations Security Council resolutions.

H.E. Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan, addressed attendees, thanking them for their presence and support. He stressed that Kashmir Black Day is a testament to the ongoing challenges faced by the people of IIOJK, particularly the youth, who endure significant hardships and human rights violations. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to providing moral, diplomatic, and political support to Kashmiris until their aspirations are met.

The gathering featured messages from Pakistani leadership, including the President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister, all reaffirming Pakistan’s dedication to the Kashmiri cause. A documentary detailing the struggles in Kashmir was shown, alongside photo exhibits capturing the resilience and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people.

Representatives from the Kashmiri community expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s steadfast support. They vowed to continue their pursuit of self-determination in line with international law and UN resolutions.
