Karachi, In a significant meeting chaired by Sindh’s Provincial Minister for Planning and Development, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, key development initiatives aimed at enhancing infrastructure and public services were discussed. The meeting, held on May 27, also saw contributions from Chairman P and D Najam Ahmed Shah, Secretary Planning Khair Muhammad Kalor, and other senior officials.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh, the session highlighted ongoing and proposed projects under the provincial development agenda. These projects focus on improving road sector schemes for better connectivity, upgrading public health facilities, and implementing targeted poverty alleviation strategies. Such measures are seen as crucial to addressing the broader development objectives of the province.
Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah was briefed on the details of these schemes, emphasizing the swift implementation of health sector improvements to enhance service delivery to the populace. The meeting also discussed the formulation of a robust urban policy to manage the challenges of urbanization effectively.
Significant infrastructure projects like SWAT and the MSDP were reviewed, ensuring their alignment with Sindh’s development goals. Additionally, reforms within the prisons department were presented to improve management and rehabilitation services.
Syed Nasir Shah announced plans to personally visit ongoing projects to monitor progress and ensure alignment with the established targets and standards. He reiterated the government’s commitment to infrastructure and social development projects that not only meet immediate needs but also contribute to long-term sustainable development, aligning with the vision of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
