Karachi: The Sports and Youth Affairs Department of the Government of Sindh is enhancing opportunities for local youth by providing assistance in sports, digital technology training, and support for new start-ups. This initiative was highlighted during the International Youth Day Festival held at Port Grand Karachi, orchestrated by the Youth Parliament in collaboration with the Department.
According to Sports and Youth Affairs Department – Government of Sindh, Mr. Jalaluddin Mahar, the event underscored the crucial role of young people in the nation’s progress. The festival featured a variety of activities, including the issuance of membership cards to new candidates of the Youth Parliament, who are slated to participate in the upcoming 2024-2026 Shadow Cabinet Elections. The day was filled with cultural performances and a cake-cutting ceremony, all aimed at celebrating and motivating the youth.
The event also saw significant contributions from notable figures such as Dr. Huma Bukhari, Co-Chairperson of the New Ports Institute of Communications and Economics, who commended the dynamic and motivated youth. Mr. Rizwan Jaffar, Chairman of the Youth Parliament, shared insights into the impactful projects and achievements of the organization, highlighting the vital potential of young leaders in shaping the future.
