Karachi to Host Largest Eid-ul-Adha Prayer at Polo Ground

Karachi: The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has announced that the largest Eid-ul-Adha congregation in the city will take place at Gulshan-e-Jinnah, commonly known as Polo Ground, at 8:00 AM. This longstanding tradition, held annually since 1958, aims to provide worshippers with the necessary amenities to perform their religious duties peacefully.

The event will be attended by Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab and Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad, alongside diplomats from Islamic countries, federal and provincial ministers, and other dignitaries. The gathering is expected to draw a large number of worshippers, including senior government officials and elected municipal representatives.

To ensure security, scanners have been installed at all entry and exit points. Special measures have been taken to provide water for ablutions, maintain cleanliness, and ensure the area is disinfected. Additionally, various entrances to the ground are being decorated.

Maulana Muhammad Ahmed Salimi, the Khatib of the KMC’s Jamia Mosque, will lead the Eid prayer. Traffic police have devised a special plan to manage traffic flow, and designated parking areas are available to minimize inconvenience for attendees.

Mayor Wahab has appealed to the public to arrive early and cooperate with security personnel to facilitate a smooth and peaceful congregation.
