Karachi Street Crime Rates Drop, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah Commits to Further Reductions

Karachi, Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, reported a significant decrease in street crimes in Karachi, from 254 incidents daily in January 2024 to 170 in April 2024. This reduction is attributed to intensified efforts by the police and rangers, bolstered by strong governmental support. Despite the progress, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for further action to enhance public safety.

According to Chief Minister Sindh, during a briefing with IG Police Ghulam Nabi Memon, the Chief Minister was informed about the current law and order situation across the province, with a particular focus on Karachi’s street crime.
