Karachi, In a recent declaration, Provincial Minister for Energy, Development, and Planning, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, emphasized that the upcoming budget should reflect the vision of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and meet public expectations. The statement highlighted the commitment to implementing Chairman Zardari’s 10-point agenda as a top priority for the region’s development and planning efforts.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh, Minister Shah underscored this commitment while presiding over two meetings focused on the annual development program of his department. These meetings saw the participation of Chairman SDB Syed Najam Ahmad Shah, Secretary Finance Fayaz Jatoi, and other senior officials, where discussions on new and ongoing development schemes for the upcoming budget took center stage.
Minister Shah received briefings on the annual development plans and directed that projects nearing completion should be finalized promptly, with an acceleration of ongoing schemes. He also requested efficient submission of detailed reports on the progress of schemes at the district level.
The briefings extended to foreign-funded projects, revealing that significant initiatives like the Sindh Secondary Education Improvement Project, Post Flood Rehabilitation Project, and various hospitals, schools, and infrastructure rehabilitation schemes are underway with international support.
This announcement reflects the provincial government’s dedication to aligning its development and fiscal strategies with the aspirations of its leadership and the needs of the populace, setting a clear direction for Karachi’s progress in the upcoming fiscal period.
