Karachi, Deputy Mayor Karachi, Salman Abdullah Murad, has announced upcoming development initiatives in Karachi, specifically aiming to transform Gadap Town into a model town and introduce new projects in Malir’s three towns. These efforts align with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s vision for the city’s advancement and promise comprehensive development services across Karachi’s towns.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, the Deputy Mayor’s commitment to city-wide progress was discussed during a meeting with Gadap Town’s Chairman Tariq Aziz Baloch and Malir Town’s Chairman John Muhammad Baloch. The leaders reviewed local concerns and planned development activities, with a focus on elevating Gadap Town’s status and launching significant projects in Malir. Salman Abdullah Murad emphasized the Karachi Municipal Corporation’s dedication to equitable service delivery and infrastructural enhancement across all townships.

The meeting underscored a shared commitment to Karachi’s growth, with local chairmen expressing confidence in Deputy Mayor Murad’s leadership and strategic direction. These development projects are anticipated to bring substantial improvements to residents’ quality of life and foster urban renewal throughout the city.

Islamabad, In a significant clampdown on criminal activity, the Islamabad Capital Police arrested 26 individuals, including 10 professional beggars, over the past 24 hours. The arrests, part of a city-wide operation to curb illegal activities, resulted in the seizure of drugs and weapons, signaling a robust response to rising crime rates in the capital.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operation was conducted under the directives of the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer, Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, aiming to rid the city of criminal elements. Among those apprehended were individuals involved in drug trafficking, illegal arms possession, and unauthorized commercial activities. The police teams successfully recovered substantial quantities of heroin, hashish, firearms, and other illicit items during their raids.

The operation included notable arrests by various police teams across Islamabad, with significant drug seizures reported by the Secretariat, Shalimar, Golra, Tarnol, Sangjani, Shams Colony, Noon, Humak, Phulgran, and Nilore police teams. Additionally, the crackdown on professional begging led to several arrests, underscoring the police’s commitment to addressing all forms of lawbreaking in the community.

The Islamabad Capital Police have reaffirmed their dedication to maintaining public safety and have urged their officers to intensify efforts against criminal activities.
