Karachi Safari Park Unveils New Attractions in Bid to Boost City’s Recreation Options

Karachi, Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab has inaugurated a range of new facilities at Safari Park, including internal roads, restaurants, horse riding, a café, and a shooting range, as part of a broader effort to enhance the city’s recreational infrastructure. These developments reflect the Pakistan Peoples Party’s commitment to reviving Karachi’s prosperity and align with Bilawal Bhutto’s vision for the city’s progress.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, alongside Mayor Wahab, Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad, Dil Muhammad, and Karamullah Waqasi, the mayor’s special representative for Political Affairs, were present at the inauguration. The initiative is part of significant developmental projects launched after the formation of the Sindh government, aimed at strengthening the city’s infrastructure through public-private partnerships.

Mayor Wahab emphasized the addition of entertainment facilities in major parks, including indoor games, cycling, and horseback riding, making leisure activities previously considered elite pastimes accessible to the general public. The introduction of new lions and a Puma, alongside the renovation of existing parks across Karachi, marks a concerted effort to rejuvenate the city’s green spaces.

The mayor also expressed his gratitude for the Supreme Court’s recognition of past oversights and encouraged citizens, particularly the youth, to participate in healthy and constructive activities. The ongoing developments in parks and sports fields across Karachi aim to create vibrant and active communal spaces, ensuring standardized facilities are accessible to all residents and promoting equal development throughout the city.
