Karachi Prepares for Muharram with Comprehensive Plans for Uninterrupted Power and Enhanced Security

Karachi: In a significant meeting presided over by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, comprehensive arrangements for the upcoming Muharram processions and majalis were finalized, including directives to ensure uninterrupted power supply throughout the holy month. The meeting, held at CM House, included top provincial officials, utility service representatives, and religious scholars.

According to Chief Minister Sindh, the meeting addressed various civic issues, with particular emphasis on maintaining public order and facilitating religious observances without disruption. Among the key decisions was the assurance of no load shedding from the first to the twelfth of Muharram, addressing concerns from Ulema about recent power outages during peak religious activities.

Chief Minister Shah also instructed local government bodies and utility services to prioritize road repairs, drainage system overhauls, and enhanced cleanliness around areas significant to Muharram observances. Security plans were also revised to ensure the safety of participants, with the Inspector General of Police tasked with consulting Shia Ulema to finalize these arrangements.
