Karachi: The city is ramping up its preparations for the arrival and stay of the Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat’s spiritual leader, Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, during the holy month of Moharram. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has ordered stringent security measures and infrastructure improvements to ensure the dignitary’s visit goes smoothly.
According to Chief Minister Sindh, CM Shah convened a special meeting at the CM House to review the arrangements for Syedna Saifuddin, who is visiting Karachi at the invitation of President Asif Zardari. The meeting was attended by key officials including Minister Home Zia Lanjar, Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah, IG Police Ghulam Nabi Memon, and representatives from the Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat, including Kumail Yunus.
During the meeting, CM Shah instructed the Commissioner of Karachi and the IG Police to meet personally with representatives of the Bohra community to finalize the security and logistical arrangements. The necessary upgrades, such as road repairs and streetlight fixing in the areas where Syedna will stay, are also being prioritized to ensure a dignified and secure visit.
