Karachi, In a pioneering move, the Sindh police held their first video online conference through the dashboard of the Police Station Record Management System (PSRMS), focusing on the control of street crime and other criminal activities. The conference, presided over by IG Sindh Rafat Mukhtar Raja, aimed at improving law and order and devising counter-strategies against various crimes in the province.
According to Director Press, the conference saw the participation of the Additional IG Karachi and DIGs of other Sindh ranges. They discussed the current law and order situation in their respective zones and districts. The meeting emphasized the importance of data-driven policing, with SSPs of all districts required to update crime data on the PSRMS. IG Sindh Rafat Mukhtar Raja will review this data weekly and provide necessary instructions based on these insights.
During the meeting, various law enforcement strategies were discussed, including actions against suspects involved in kidnapping for ransom, robbery, and other serious crimes. IG Sindh highlighted the need for a coordinated approach between operation police and investigation police to strengthen their collective efforts in combating crimes. He stressed the significance of foolproof measures and strong, stable coordination among districts, zones, and ranges to progress against crimes, especially those occurring on the streets.
