Karachi Municipal Council to Discuss Key City Issues in Upcoming Meeting

Karachi, The adjourned general meeting of the Council of Municipal Corporation Karachi (MCK) is scheduled for Monday, May 13, 2024, at 3 p.m., at the Council Hall in the Jamshed Nasrwanji Building on MA Jinnah Road. The meeting, to be chaired by Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, will address several critical agenda items, including improvements to medical services and the management of valet parking fees.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, the meeting will focus on enhancing the quality of medical services provided by the city, the collection of valet parking fees through the charged parking department, and the proposed re-naming of the pediatric department at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital to Wasila Jahan Pediatric Department. Additional topics include upgrading the posts of Officer (BS-17), amending the appointment procedures for Pesh Imam, and approving an increase in the funding for various departmental accounts.

The council will also consider other issues with the approval of the President during this key gathering, reflecting the city’s ongoing efforts to improve urban management and services.
