Karachi Metropolitan Council to Convene for Rescheduled Meeting, Major Administrative Decisions on the Agenda


Karachi: The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has rescheduled its general council meeting for Monday, September 30, 2024, at 3 PM, where key administrative and operational topics will be discussed. This meeting, to be held in the Council Hall of the KMC Building on M.A. Jinnah Road, will address several significant issues ranging from sports facility management to municipal services improvements.



According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, the agenda for the meeting is packed with critical items that could impact various aspects of city management and public services. Topics include the proposal to open the Women’s Sports Complex in Gulshan-e-Iqbal for Executive Family Membership between 5 PM and 10 PM, the issuance of PSO Fleet/Corporate Cards for service vehicles and other fuel-operated equipment of KMC, and the proposed upgrading of accountant positions from BPS-11 to BPS-16.



Furthermore, the council will consider renaming the Muslim Khawaja Khali Cemetery to Haji Ali Muhammad Faqir Cemetery in Mawach Goth. Another key point of discussion will be the introduction of charges for the issuance of house job certificates at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and increasing imprest accounts for various KMC departments.
