Karachi, Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab is set to inaugurate the 4th Meri Gold and Plant Festival today at Bagh Jinnah Friarhall. The festival, known for its attractive floral arrangements, offers free entry to citizens, encouraging them to enjoy the event with their families.
According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Mayor Wahab has invited the citizens of Karachi to participate in large numbers and experience the charm of this winter festival. He highlighted the efforts of the Municipal Corporation Karachi’s Horticulture Department in cultivating Mary Gold flowers and presenting them uniquely at the festival. Emphasizing the importance of such events, he stated that they contribute to enhancing the city’s beauty and encourage community engagement in positive and constructive activities.
The Mayor remarked on the efforts to restore Karachi’s splendor, focusing on developing basic infrastructure and beautifying city parks. He mentioned that all fountains in Friar Hall are being maintained to ensure they are in good condition, providing an enhanced experience for the thousands of visitors the park attracts daily.
The Meri Gold Festival has become a traditional event in Karachi, drawing significant interest from citizens for its display of winter flowers.
