Karachi Marks 8th Martyrdom Anniversary of Burhan Wani with Rally


Karachi: A significant rally was held in Karachi to commemorate the eighth martyrdom anniversary of Burhan Muzaffar Wani, a noted figure in the Kashmiri freedom struggle. Organized by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), the event also paid tribute to other martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for Kashmir’s independence from Indian control.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the rally was led by Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Convener of the APHC AJK chapter, and witnessed the participation of thousands, including leaders from various political, religious, and social parties in Pakistan. The procession moved from the Karachi Arts Council to the Press Club, with attendees carrying banners featuring images of Burhan Wani and chanting slogans advocating for the freedom of Jammu and Kashmir.



Prominent Pakistani political figures such as Saeed Ghani from the Pakistan People’s Party, Aminul Haq of Muttahida Qaumi Movement, and representatives from Jamaat-e-Islami, among others, were present. The rally also saw participation from figures across a broad spectrum of society, including the Palestinian Foundation and the People’s Party Lawyers Forum, reinforcing the widespread support for Kashmiri self-determination efforts within Pakistan.
