Karachi Hosts Job Fair to Boost Youth Employment, Supported by Hindu Council

Karachi, In an initiative aimed at increasing job opportunities for the youth, a significant job fair was held at the Expo Center in Karachi, organized by the Hindu Council and lauded by Sindh’s Minister of Energy and Development and Planning, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah. The event, which featured numerous stalls from both local and non-local companies, was designed to facilitate direct interaction between employers and potential employees.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh, Minister Shah expressed his appreciation during his visit to the fair, emphasizing that such efforts are crucial for fulfilling the employment needs of the younger population. He highlighted the role of the Hindu Council in spearheading this initiative, which he described as a commendable act that contributes significantly to the country’s economic stability.

The job fair is part of a broader vision by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto to enhance employment opportunities for the youth, reflecting the party’s commitment to job creation. Minister Shah called on more companies to participate in such fairs, which he believes are essential for providing ample employment opportunities to the youth.

In addition to discussing the job fair, Minister Shah touched upon the government’s efforts in renewable energy, particularly the development of solar parks in Karachi and Jamshoro. These parks are expected to not only contribute to the national grid but also allow the government to offer subsidies to consumers using up to 100 units of electricity, aligning with the government’s goal to provide free electricity to consumers of up to 300 units.

The Minister also mentioned ongoing development projects across the region, noting that of the 5700 schemes currently underway, 4500 are set to be completed within the financial year to quickly benefit the public.

Dr. Ramesh Kumar, patron chief of the Pakistan Hindu Council, in his address at the event, remarked on the positive atmosphere and the early crowd turnout, indicating strong public interest. He stressed the importance of collaboration between private and public institutions to improve overall conditions.
