Karachi Hosts 7th ISEM Pakistan Solar Exhibition to Boost Renewable Energy Efforts

Karachi: The 7th ISEM Pakistan Solar Exhibition was inaugurated at the Expo Center Karachi, setting the stage for a pivotal gathering of solar energy professionals, stakeholders, and enthusiasts from both Pakistan and abroad. Over three days, participants will explore innovative solar products and discuss sustainable energy solutions, with the event aimed at fostering industry collaboration and enhancing solar technology adoption across the nation.

According to Chief Minister of Sindh, the exhibition was opened by Energy and Planning Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, who emphasized the significant potential of solar energy to drive regional growth and development. Minister Shah detailed the government’s strategies to support sustainable energy, including the establishment of solar parks to provide up to 100 units of free electricity to consumers and the commitment to shield solar power from taxation. The minister also highlighted Sindh’s natural resource richness and its suitability for both domestic and foreign investment in the energy sector.

The exhibition features a wide array of solar technologies, including panels, inverters, and energy storage systems, showcasing the latest advancements in efficiency and cost-effectiveness for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
