Karachi Hosts 7th CNS Open Shooting Championship with Diverse Participation

Karachi, The 7th CNS Open Shooting Championship 2023 commenced with its opening ceremony at the Pakistan Navy Shooting Range in Karachi. Rear Admiral Muhammad Saleem, Commander Karachi, attended as the Chief Guest, marking the start of this prominent sports event.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh, this year’s championship has attracted about 400 shooters, showcasing talents from various organizations including the Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force, FRA, SRA, PRA, BRA, HEC, WAPDA, Pakistan Police, SSU, RSS Club, KGSSR Club, and PNSR Members Club. The competition spans across 24 events in Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun categories.

The championship aligns with the standards set by the National Rifle Association of Pakistan (NAP) and adheres to the latest rules and regulations of the International Sports Shooting Federation (ISSF). The event schedule includes four festival matches in the Big Bore Pistol, 50M, and 0.22 Open Sight Categories. Additionally, the competition features 10 events in the men’s category, 5 events specifically for women, and 4 youth events in Pistol and Rifle categories, highlighting the inclusive nature of the championship.

This year’s CNS Open Shooting Championship promises to be a significant event in the national sports calendar, with its diverse range of participants and events catering to different age groups and genders.
