Karachi: The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) held a farewell ceremony for Nasir Mehmood Ishaqi, the Director of Budget (Finance and Accounts), marking his retirement. The event, led by Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad, celebrated Ishaqi’s contributions and emphasized the value of teamwork and institutional legacy within KMC.
According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Deputy Mayor Murad highlighted the significant impact of teamwork in achieving positive outcomes within any organization. He praised Nasir Mehmood Ishaqi for his dedication and service, noting that the skills and lessons shared by such individuals help shape and develop the institution. The ceremony included the presentation of a commemorative shield and a gift to Ishaqi, acknowledging his years of service.
Deputy Mayor Murad also advocated for the continuation of farewell ceremonies for retiring employees across other departments of KMC to ensure they receive a dignified acknowledgment of their service. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Jamman Durwan, Deputy Parliamentary Leader for the Pakistan People’s Party in the city council, and senior finance officials.
