Karachi: In a recent meeting at the Governor House, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesuri committed to addressing the challenges faced by local customs agents. This assurance came during discussions with a seven-member delegation from the Karachi Customs Agents Association, led by General Secretary Mahmoud Dalhasan Awan.
According to Sindh Governor House, the delegation highlighted various operational difficulties impacting customs agents, which Governor Tesuri responded to with promises of intervention. He stated his intention to engage with relevant authorities to find solutions to enhance the efficiency of customs operations, vital for the smooth delivery of goods across the region.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for the delegation to observe the welfare projects initiated by the Governor, including the IT marquee and the distribution of ration bags. The delegation commended these initiatives, expressing optimism that such efforts, if replicated, could significantly reduce unemployment and poverty in Pakistan.
