Karachi, In a significant move to support victims of motorcycle theft, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori announced a program to provide reconditioned bikes to individuals who lost their motorcycles in October, November, and December 2023. The initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden faced by those affected by motorcycle theft.
According to Sindh Governor House, the governor’s announcement comes as a response to the concerns raised by numerous youths during a program, Omid Ki Ghin, where they expressed their inability to afford new motorcycles due to financial constraints. To benefit from this initiative, motorcycle owners are required to submit First Information Reports (FIRs) certified by the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) to the Governor House.
This program is a part of the governor’s broader efforts to address the issues impacting the youth and to provide practical solutions to problems faced by residents of Karachi. The initiative not only acknowledges the financial challenges posed by motorcycle theft but also demonstrates the government’s commitment to supporting its citizens in times of need.
