Karachi: A casual gathering organized by senior journalist Ziaur Rahman recently brought together key figures from Karachi’s municipal and development sectors, including Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani and Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad. The event was noted for its informal interaction among the city’s leading officials and journalists.
According to Karachi Development Authority, the gathering featured prominent attendees such as the Director General of Karachi Development Authority, Syed Shujaat Hussain; CEO Water Board, Asadullah Khan; Town Chairman of Chinesar Town, Farhan Ghani; Director of the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board, Rahmatullah Sheikh; and PSF Karachi President, Madani Raza, among others. The event provided an opportunity for informal discussions on various urban development and municipal issues facing Karachi.
The meeting aimed to foster better communication and collaboration among the city’s key stakeholders and was also attended by municipal reporters, highlighting the importance of media in civic engagement. The Karachi Development Authority sees such gatherings as crucial for enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation between government bodies and the media.
