Karachi Development Authority DG Honored for Grant Approval


Karachi, The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) Employees Union CBA paid tribute to Director General Naveed Anwar for approving a significant grant of 3 billion rupees, aimed at addressing longstanding issues faced by the families of deceased officers, including retired officers and employees of KDA.



According to Karachi Development Authority, DG Naveed Anwar, during the tribute event, highlighted that the approval of the grant would resolve the financial difficulties of the beneficiaries. He stressed that the funds would be deposited directly into the High Court account designated for pensioners, ensuring transparency and accountability in the utilization of the grant for its intended purposes.



In addition to resolving pension-related issues, DG Anwar revealed ongoing beautification efforts at the civic center, with the Sindh government forwarding a summary for a 50 crore rupees grant, which is expected to be approved shortly. This funding will contribute to the refurbishment of the civic center, including the replacement of dysfunctional lifts, in line with efforts to enhance the institution’s infrastructure and services.



DG Anwar called on KDA officers to leverage all available resources for the institution’s betterment, aiming to restore KDA’s esteemed position. He expressed optimism that the approval of the additional 50 crore rupees grant would significantly contribute to the institution’s income, especially with the upcoming auction of various KDA schemes and public housing units before Ramadan.



KDA Employees Union CBA President Abdul Maruf expressed gratitude towards DG Anwar for his initiatives and assured continued support from the union for positive developments within KDA. The event was attended by KDA Employees Union CBA Patron General Syed Imran Hussain Jafri, General Secretary Qamar Abbas, and other union leaders, signifying a collective commitment to the welfare of KDA employees and the improvement of the authority’s operational efficiency.
