Karachi: Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad has committed to swift action to repair the deteriorating road conditions in Gohar Green City following a meeting with local residents and facilitators. The meeting, which took place at the Deputy Mayor’s farmhouse, highlighted the community’s concerns about the poor state of the road under the Malir railway playa, which has been causing significant difficulties for residents.
According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, the Deputy Mayor met with members of the Gohar Green City Facilitation Committee, including Altaf Hussain Butt, Chaudhry Naseem Akhtar, Rao Wakil, Babul John Baloch, Khuram Shahzad, and Bilawal Mahmood. During the discussion, the committee detailed the challenges posed by the road’s disrepair. Responding to these concerns, Deputy Mayor Murad ordered immediate road paving and pothole repairs, emphasizing that the issues in Gohar Green City are a priority. He also instructed the Town Municipal Commissioner and related officers to initiate contact with the committee to expedite the process.
Furthermore, Deputy Mayor Murad announced upcoming improvements to local infrastructure, including street lighting on Altaf Hussain Hali Road. Committee members expressed their appreciation for the prompt response and the attention given to their issues, which promise to enhance daily life in their community.
