Karachi Deputy Mayor Commemorates 16th Death Anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto

Karachi, Deputy Mayor of Karachi, Salman Abdullah Murad, paid tribute to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on her 16th death anniversary by visiting the Garhi Khuda Bakhsh shrine and laying a wreath. The commemoration, was attended by Pakistan People’s Party leader Mir Abbas Talpur, Tariq Aziz, and other dignitaries.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, The event marked the significance of December 27 as a day of remembrance and renewal of commitment for supporters of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). Deputy Mayor Murad reflected on the legacy of Benazir Bhutto, acknowledging her as a martyr in the struggle for the rights of the people and noting that the wounds of her martyrdom remain fresh in the hearts of her followers. He reiterated the importance of this day for the ‘Jiyalas’, the fervent supporters of the PPP, as a day to reaffirm their allegiance to the country under the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

The death anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto is observed each year as a significant occasion for her supporters and the PPP, commemorating her contributions to Pakistan’s political landscape and her enduring influence in the party’s ideology and activities.
