Karachi Deputy Mayor Announces End to Load Shedding at Dumloti Pump

Karachi: Deputy Mayor of Karachi, Salman Abdullah Murad, announced an end to the 13-hour daily load shedding at the Dumloti pump, a significant move expected to enhance continuous water supply in various areas of Malir, including Memon Goth and Malir Cantt. This development follows directives from Mayor Karachi and Chairman of the Water Corporation, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, aiming to provide uninterrupted 24-hour water service to these regions.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, during a recent visit to the Dumloti pump, Deputy Mayor Murad was accompanied by Engineer Yar Muhammad Jokhio of the Water Corporation and other relevant officers. The Deputy Mayor expressed optimism that the cessation of load shedding would prevent future water shortages in Malir Model Town, Memon Goth, Malir Cantt, and surrounding areas. He further stated ongoing efforts would aim to eliminate load shedding at other pumps managed by the Water Corporation to extend reliable water supply across the city. The local residents of Malir Model Colony, Memongoth, and related areas have expressed their gratitude towards Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab for his initiative in this matter.
