Kalat Commemorates Kashmir Exploitation Day with Large-Scale Rally

Kalat: In alignment with nationwide observances, Kalat district hosted a significant rally to mark Kashmir Exploitation Day, led by local administration officials and attended by a broad cross-section of the community, underscoring support for Kashmir and condemnation of Indian policies.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the event was spearheaded by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kalat Dr. Dost Mohammad Longo, with Assistant Commissioners Nisar Ahmad Longo and Akbar Ali Mazarzai, DSPs Manzoor Ahmed Mengal and Mahiwal Khan, as well as various department heads, political, and tribal leaders participating. The rally, which commenced at the Deputy Commissioner Complex, traversed through the city’s streets and concluded at the same location, was marked by the display of Kashmir flags and banners vocalizing solidarity with Kashmir and critiquing Indian actions.

Participants voiced strong sentiments regarding the events of August 5, 2019, when India revoked the special status of Kashmir, altering the status of the region recognized internationally as disputed territory. They described this date as a day of profound protest, emphasizing the unified stance of Pakistani citizens with the Kashmiri population. The rally also highlighted the effective security measures put in place by the police and Levies to ensure a peaceful demonstration.
