Islamabad, July 19, 2023 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister’s Advisor on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan, Qamar Zaman Kaira, has urged the international community to redeem the Kashmiris’ inalienable right to self-determination by resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations resolutions. In his special message on Kashmir’s Accession to Pakistan Day, today, Qamar Zaman Kaira said that Kashmiris’ genuine representatives had passed the resolution of Jammu and Kashmir’s Accession to Pakistan in Srinagar on July 19, 1947. He said that this resolution, reflecting the aspirations of the Kashmiri people, further strengthened the relations between the people of Kashmir and Pakistan.

The Advisor said that the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir bury their martyrs shrouded in the Pakistani flag. He said that the slogan coined by the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani shaheed “We are Pakistanis and Pakistan is ours” reflects the Kashmiris’ eternal relation with Pakistan. He said the Kashmiri youth express their love for Pakistan and wave the Pakistani flag on the street of IIOJK without caring for their lives. Qamar Zaman Kaira said despite using all its brutal tactics, India has failed to erase the Kashmiris’ passion for Pakistan. He said that the international community should take steps to redeem the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination through the settlement of the Kashmir dispute under the relevant UN resolutions.
