Srinagar, March 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian police slapped draconian law, Public safety Act (PSA), on Kashmiri journalist Fahad Shah, previously booked under three cases from last two months and was lodged in Kupwara jail.
Fahad Shah, a resident of Soura Srinagar, was booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) after he got bail in two cases registered by police and is presently under police custody in third case registered against him in Srinagar. He was first arrested on February 4 on the charge of giving the version of the family of a fake encounter victim, which contradicted the police claim.
Fahad, who is editor of a local news magazine and portal, “The Kashmir Walla”, was first arrested by Pulwama police under 13 Unlawful Activities Prevent Act. The interim bail was granted by the special court in Srinagar. He was then arrested by the Shopian police. He was against granted interim bail. Fahad Shah is presently under police custody in a third case registered at Police Station Safakadal in Srinagar.
