Journalist Assaulted at BJP Rally in Uttar Pradesh Mistaken for Muslim

Bareilly, In a disturbing incident at a political rally in Uttar Pradesh, Indian journalist Raghav Trivedi was assaulted by supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) under the mistaken belief that he was Muslim, due to his attire and beard.

The journalist, employed by the online news portal Molitics, reported that he was targeted after recording women attendees who claimed they were paid to attend the rally. The confrontation escalated when BJP members demanded he delete the footage and subsequently assaulted him, even though other journalists and police were present but did not intervene.
