Jordanian Ambassador Discusses Bilateral Ties and Humanitarian Issues with Pakistan’s Senate Chairman

Islamabad, H.E Maen Khreisat, the Ambassador of Jordan to Pakistan, met with Chairman of the Senate, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, today at the Parliament House. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations and addressing critical humanitarian issues, particularly concerning the situation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

According to Senate of Pakistan, the discussions between Ambassador Khreisat and Chairman Senate centered on the ongoing crisis in the Gaza Strip and West Bank. Both condemned the actions of Israel and discussed the broader implications for the Middle East region. Chairman Senate appreciated the efforts of King Abdullah bin Hussein of Jordan in seeking a resolution to the crisis and recognized Jordan’s crucial role as the custodian of the Masjid Al Aqsa Compound in maintaining peace in Alquds Jerusalem.

Ambassador Khreisat highlighted Jordan’s continuous support for the Palestinian people, including medical support through the establishment and replenishment of a hospital in Gaza. He emphasized Jordan’s historical commitment to Palestinian refugees and their ongoing efforts to provide assistance.

Chairman Senate called for heightened international awareness of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the West Bank, urging collective efforts to end the suffering of innocent Palestinians. He emphasized the need for a resolution in accordance with international law and condemned the genocidal actions and war crimes of the zionist Israeli regime in Palestinian territories.

The meeting also acknowledged the strong fraternal ties between Jordan and Pakistan, based on shared religious and cultural values. The Jordanian Ambassador expressed a commitment to further strengthening these bonds. Chairman Senate proposed an increase in bilateral trade and economic relations, reflecting the mutual desire for enhanced cooperation between Pakistan and Jordan.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to collaboration in addressing immediate challenges and building a stronger foundation for a sustained partnership between the two nations.
