JKSDMI Mobilizes Support for UK Labour Party Candidates with Focus on Kashmir Rights


Manchester, The Jammu Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International (JKSDMI) has initiated a series of meetings as part of an election campaign across the United Kingdom, directed by Chairman Raja Najabat Hussain. This campaign aims to support UK Labour Party candidates who are sympathetic to the cause of Kashmiri self-determination.



According to Kashmir Media Service, prominent JKSDMI members including Councillor Naila Sharif, Chairperson of JKSDMI, UK; Councillor Yasmin Dar, former Chairperson; and Zeeshan Arif, President of Jammu and Kashmir International Students Society, have actively participated in campaigning for notable Labour Party leaders such as Angela Rainer and Andrew Gwynne, as well as Manchester MP and former shadow Minister Afzal Khan. These efforts are part of a strategic move to elect British Parliament members who will advocate for Kashmiri rights.



Raja Najabat Hussain emphasized the movement’s commitment to vigorously supporting candidates who align with their views on Kashmir, aiming to ensure that elected officials will voice the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination in the British Parliament. He also mentioned that the movement plans to undertake practical efforts toward a sustainable and permanent resolution of the Kashmir dispute, in line with United Nations resolutions.
